A Great and glorious day of Centenary Celebration in East Africa after a long prayerful preparation culminated on 11th December 2008. The colourful and graceful moments were graced by a galaxy of prominent persons, His Eminence Cardinal Polycarp Pengo, the Arch Bishop of Dar es Salaam, Rt. Rev. Mgr. Telesphore Mkude, the Bishop of Morogoro, Sr. Tresa Ann, Superior General, India, Sr. Heidi Kälin, Superior General, Swiss, the former Superior Generals, distinguished guests from India, Switzerland and East Africa in the midst of many priests and religious together with invited local people.
 
 
The Holy Eucharist was the zenith of the celebration that started with a solemn procession carrying the Statue of Mother Ann and the Sisters of St. Ann marching with lighted candles followed by the choir. His Eminence Cardinal Polycarp Pengo congratulated the Sisters for the commendable service done to the people of East Africa in education, medical and social apostolate. He called upon the Sisters to intensify the Spiritual formation to the young so as to transform the youth.
 
The lively entertainment prepared by the students from St. Ann’s Kinder Garten, Primary and Secondary School and a unique song by the Sisters added special flavour to the function. The ‘Kitenge with St. Ann’s Emblem’ – the centenary special gift was distributed to the guests. The agape meal served for all concluded the Centenary function.
